Fotona 4D Cost in London: Prices, Packages, and What’s Included

Fotona 4D laser cost in London at Centre for Surgery, Baker Street
Fotona 4D laser pricing at Centre for Surgery, 95–97 Baker Street, Marylebone, London W1U 6RN.

Fotona 4D is one of the more clinically credible non-surgical laser facelift options available in London — and one of the more variably priced. Costs range from around £500 per session at high-street aesthetic clinics to over £900 per session at premium central-London practices. This page sets out exactly what Fotona 4D costs at Centre for Surgery, what is included, what influences the price, and how the figures compare across the London market.

Fotona 4D Prices at Centre for Surgery

All Fotona 4D prices at Centre for Surgery are all-inclusive. The figure quoted at consultation covers the practitioner’s fee, the use of our CQC-regulated treatment facility at Baker Street, topical numbing if required, and any follow-up review appointments. There are no consumable fees, no aftercare add-ons, and no surprise invoices.

Fotona 4D — face

  • 1 session — £750
  • 2 sessions — £1,400 (£700 per session — saving £100)
  • 3 sessions — £1,950 (£650 per session — saving £300)

The face single-area pricing covers the full face, including SmoothLiftin™ (intra-oral tightening), FRAC3 deep fractional treatment, PIANO bulk heating, and the SupErficial cold Er:YAG micro-peel. Most patients book a course of three sessions one month apart, which is the recommended protocol for meaningful collagen remodelling.

Fotona 4D — face and neck combined

  • 1 session — £950
  • 2 sessions — £1,750 (£875 per session — saving £150)
  • 3 sessions — £2,500 (£833 per session — saving £350)

Treating the face and neck together is the most common protocol for patients in their late thirties through fifties. The neck typically ages faster than the face, so a face-only treatment that ignores the neck often leaves a visible mismatch.

Add-ons (when bundled with Fotona 4D)

  • Décolletage — £400 single, £1,100 course of 3
  • SmoothEye (eye area) — £300 single, £800 course of 3
  • LipLase (lip rejuvenation) — £250 single, £650 course of 3

What’s Included in the Price

Every Fotona 4D quote at Centre for Surgery includes:

  • The aesthetic practitioner’s fee
  • Use of the treatment room at our CQC-regulated Baker Street clinic
  • Topical numbing cream (most patients tolerate the treatment without it, but it’s available if needed)
  • Post-treatment skincare advice and product recommendations
  • Follow-up review appointments at no additional charge

There are no hidden charges. The price quoted at consultation is the price you pay. If you need additional follow-up appointments to track your progress or address a concern, those are arranged at no extra charge.

How Many Fotona 4D Sessions Will You Need?

Most patients see initial improvement in skin texture and tone within 4–6 weeks of the first session, but the structural tightening — the reason most patients book Fotona 4D in the first place — develops over the months that follow as new collagen and elastin are laid down by fibroblasts.

For face and neck concerns, two sessions one month apart is the standard starter course, with a third session added for patients with more pronounced concerns. After the initial course, maintenance sessions are recommended every six months for patients under 50, or every four months for patients over 50.

For more on session planning and what to expect from each treatment, see the main Fotona 4D service page.

Fotona 4D Cost: How Centre for Surgery Compares

Fotona 4D vs Morpheus8 — laser skin tightening comparison
Fotona 4D and Morpheus8 are different technologies aimed at similar concerns — see how the costs compare.

Fotona 4D prices in London vary considerably. Budget aesthetic clinics in outer London advertise from around £400–£500 per session for face-only treatment. Mid-range central-London clinics typically charge £550–£700 per session. Premium central-London surgical practices charge £795–£900 per session, with course pricing scaled accordingly.

Centre for Surgery sits in the upper-mid tier — and there are reasons that justify the pricing rather than reflexive central-London markup:

  • CQC-regulated private clinic, not a high-street aesthetic clinic. Most Fotona 4D in London is delivered at clinics that are not regulated by the Care Quality Commission. Centre for Surgery is registered and regulated by the CQC — see our CQC rating for the inspection report. If you ever need to escalate a concern, you have a regulator to escalate to.
  • GMC-registered practitioners. Fotona 4D at Centre for Surgery is performed by GMC-registered medical practitioners, not by nurses or non-medical aestheticians. Energy settings, mode selection, and treatment depth are clinical decisions that should be made by clinicians.
  • Surgical pathway available if you need it. If your consultation reveals that surgery would give a more durable result than Fotona 4D — a facelift, blepharoplasty, or a neck lift — that pathway is available at the same clinic, with the same clinical team. You are not handed off elsewhere or sold the wrong treatment because the clinic doesn’t offer the right one.
  • Genuine Fotona SP Dynamis system. We use a genuine Fotona SP Dynamis platform, not grey-market or refurbished alternatives. The Slovenian-made Fotona laser is the device the SmoothLiftin™, FRAC3, PIANO, and SupErficial protocols were designed for.
  • Aftercare included as standard. Follow-up review appointments are included in the package price, not invoiced separately.

Fotona 4D vs Other Skin Tightening Treatments

Fotona 4D is one option in a treatment ladder. Whether it’s the right one depends on your skin, your concerns, and your tolerance for downtime and cost. Here’s how it compares to the other non-surgical and surgical skin-tightening treatments at Centre for Surgery:

Is Fotona 4D Worth It?

Fotona 4D before and after — patient result at Centre for Surgery, London
Fotona 4D before and after — improved skin texture and firmness following a course of three sessions.

Fotona 4D is good value for the right patient and poor value for the wrong patient. It is not a cheap treatment, particularly when booked as a course of three sessions plus annual maintenance. The honest framing:

  • For mild-to-moderate skin laxity, fine lines, sun damage, or uneven tone — Fotona 4D can deliver meaningful improvement that lasts 12–18 months without maintenance, and longer with regular top-ups. Patients in this group typically feel they have had value for money.
  • For very mild concerns that could be addressed with a less involved treatment — basic skincare and SPF, or a course of microneedling alone — Fotona 4D may be more than the situation calls for. We will tell you so at consultation.
  • For significant skin laxity — pronounced jowling, neck banding, hooded eyelids — surgery will give a more durable result. Booking a £2,500 Fotona 4D course when what you actually need is a facelift is poor value at any price. We will tell you that too.

The treatment is generally well tolerated. Most patients describe the sensation as a gentle warmth with brief moments of more focused heat. Side effects are typically limited to mild redness for a few hours to two days. There is no peeling phase and no need to take time off work — for full details see the recovery section of the main service page.

The Four Fotona 4D Modes — What You’re Paying For

The “4D” in Fotona 4D refers to four distinct laser modes applied in sequence in a single 60–90 minute session. Each works at a different depth and addresses a different concern. Understanding what’s included in the protocol helps explain the all-inclusive pricing.

Step 1 — SmoothLiftin™ (intra-oral tightening)

Fotona 4D Step 1 — SmoothLiftin SMOOTH mode applied intra-orally
Step 1 — SMOOTH mode Er:YAG laser applied inside the mouth for nasolabial fold tightening.

The first step is performed inside the mouth, with a non-ablative Er:YAG laser applied through the inside of the cheek and lip. Heat causes collagen contraction in the deep tissue around the nasolabial folds, marionette lines, and perioral area. This intra-oral approach is unique to Fotona — no other commercial laser delivers this protocol.

Step 2 — FRAC3

Fotona 4D Step 2 — FRAC3 fractional Nd:YAG laser mode
Step 2 — FRAC3 mode delivers short fractional Nd:YAG pulses for deep tissue tightening.

FRAC3 uses short, fractionated Nd:YAG pulses to target deeper tissue at multiple levels. The practitioner can use FRAC3 to create vectors of tension along the SMAS layer anchoring areas, producing a lifting effect through deep tissue stimulation without any needle insertion.

Step 3 — PIANO

Fotona 4D Step 3 — PIANO mode bulk heating for deep skin tightening
Step 3 — PIANO mode delivers ultra-long Nd:YAG pulses for deep, bulk skin tightening.

PIANO mode uses extremely long Nd:YAG pulses to deliver controlled bulk heating across the full thickness of the skin. The practitioner scans the entire face, maintaining a surface temperature of approximately 42°C for around three minutes per zone.

Step 4 — SupErficial (Er:YAG micro-peel)

Fotona 4D Step 4 — SupErficial cold Er:YAG micro-peel
Step 4 — SupErficial cold Er:YAG micro-peel for surface refinement and pearl finish.

The final step is a controlled cold Er:YAG micro-peel that removes the outer 10–20 microns of skin without thermal injury. The result is a smoother, brighter surface — clinical-grade surface refinement that surface-level exfoliation alternatives can’t match.
