Preservation Rhinoplasty

Preservation rhinoplasty reshapes the nose by keeping as much of its natural structure intact as possible. The surgeon works around the nose’s existing framework rather than removing and rebuilding — producing natural-looking results with faster early recovery.

What is Preservation Rhinoplasty?

Preservation rhinoplasty is a modern approach that reshapes the nose by keeping as much of its natural structure intact as possible, rather than removing and rebuilding it. Instead of shaving a dorsal hump from the top, the surgeon lowers the entire bridge from underneath, preserving the skin and soft-tissue envelope. The result tends to look more natural with faster early recovery, but the technique only suits a specific subset of patients — typically those with a moderate hump and reasonably straight underlying structure.
